BEZALEL ACADEMY OF ARTS AND DESIGN
The exhibition centers on painting and digital collages that delve into worlds of body-mind distortions, politics of queer sexuality, and an ironic playful take on the history of art. Around the artworks: a format. Two performers (“art handlers”) change the display spaces every hour on the hour. This action transforms the classic display of still images into an almost theatrical time-based spectacle, in which the scenes themselves are the works on display while people are merely functional entities.
